Wednesday favorites!!!

Heloooooo my sunflowers πŸŒ»

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted. But I have not done Wednesday favorites in a very very very long time.

Can you guys guess what today’s Wednesday’s favorite is? πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹my favorite food!!

For those that know me know that FOOD is seriously the way to my heart. I love GOOD FOOD. I am VERY PICKY when it comes to food and I would like to think that I am an expert when it comes to foodπŸ˜‚
This was actually a very good meal. It was at Kream in Brooklyn. I don’t remember what this was but I think it was cheese ,mash potatoes and steak.

My OTHER FAVORITE!
This is definitely my favorite breakfast. This is a specialty at Tasha’s Mall of Africa.
They don’t have this meal at other Tasha’s in Gauteng.
So drum roll please πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘this is chicken livers with an omelette on top. This is AMAZING!!!😭😍😍😍

My other favorite is SEAFOODπŸ˜†
I seriously LOVE seafood and one of my favorites are mussels or oysters. I don’t know why I love seafood but it’s amazing!

My other favorite seafood meal are prawns and calamari. I have not tried a lobster but I seriously would love to try one, If anyone knows the BEST lobster places please let me know.

My favorite dessert is definitely malva pudding πŸ˜I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! My wedding is definitely going to have Malva pudding. So I eat Malva pudding with custard. I’m not a fan of ice cream. Honestly the best Malva pudding I’ve had is from woolworths . I’ve been to great restaurants that have Malva pudding but it’s not that great like the one from woolies.

That's it for now.

Hope you all enjoyed reading this blog like I enjoyed writing about it

Don't forget to stay BEAUTIFUL, blessed, honest and kind

Did someone say lasagne 😝?

Hi guys 😊

Hope everyone is going great. We almost at the end of January ,wow can you believe it. It feels like it was just New Years now now.

Guess what today is? WEDNESDAY FAVORITES 😬😬. This is my first Wednesday favorite of 2017!😊very excited to share it with you guys.

Today's post is going to be about one of my favorite recipes of all time! Mac cheese lasagne😬😍😍!! If your not really really in the mood of cooking and standing for a while in the kitchen this is a very easy recipe to do.

So let's get started shall we?πŸ˜€

🌸ingredients:
1. Pasta
2.olive oil
3.salt
4. Cheese
5. 3 eggs
6. A cup of milk
7. Half a onion
8.mince meat

Serving : 3-4 people
🌸Method :
Cooking the pasta

Step 1: boil water in the kettle and then police a pot on the stove on medium. After the water is boiled ,our the water into the pot and wait for it to boil in the pot.

Step2: once the water is boiling pour a tablespoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt in the pot then stir for 2 seconds ,once that is done put the macaroni/pasta in the pot.

Step 3: while the pasta is cooking for about 10-15 minutes ,dice the onion and then put a pan on the stove with a little bit of olive oil on medium heat. While waiting for that just keep checking on your pasta and keep stirring your pasta so that it doesn't stick on the pot.

Step 4: once the oil is hot then add the onions and fry them until brown then add the mince and fry the mince until it's brown.

Step 5: once the pasta is ready then you can drain the water and put it on the side then you must take a small bowl then crack the 3 eggs and beat the eggs then add the milk and cheese and mix it all.

Step 6: once that is all down then preheat your oven for 350-400 degrees then add the egg mixture into your pasta , if you see the mixture is not enough then you can add more.

Step 7: take a casserole and add your mince then add the pasta then grate cheese πŸ§€ and add the cheese and sprinkle it then add the mince on top and add the final pasta and sprinkle the cheese on top and then take the casserole in the oven and let it cook for 40 minutes.

Then your done 😊

Good morning  everyone 😬

Hope everybody is doing good, the week is about to end. If you follow my blog on Instagram you would have noticed that Monday I cooked some chicken Alfredo pasta l, I just haven't had the time to post about it. So this is not me of my favorite recipes,if you follow my food recipes you would notice that I have cooked Alfredo pasta before so this time I did a different one..soo lets get started shall we 😬

Serving for this meal is for 2-3 people

🌸Ingredients:
πŸ’—Farfalloni pasta from Woolworth's
πŸ’—patti's and moni's spaghetti you can get from pick n pay
πŸ’—4x chicken breast (slice them in pieces before you cook them )
πŸ’—mushrooms (use about 4-5 mushrooms and just cut them in half )
πŸ’—1x cream ultra pasteurized
πŸ’—thyme (I use the spice thyme which is in a bottle but you can use the raw leaves of thyme )
πŸ’—black pepper
πŸ’—Garlic (I use the garlic that is already cut into pieces by you can use the raw garlic as well )

🌸Method
🍝Cooking the pasta

Cooking time 10-15 minutes

1. boil water in the kettle
2.then put a pot on the stove, once the water is done boiling then pour the water in the pot
3.wait for the water to boil in the pot then you can add your pasta and spaghetti's together
4. While its cooking you must just stir it here and there
5.then just keep checking if the pasta looks soft. Try and taste it and see if it's ready however don't keep it in the stove for too long because then it will become very sluggy and sticky .

πŸ—Cooking the chicken breasts
Cooking time 15-20 minutes

1. So once you are done cutting the chicken breasts then put a frying pan on the stove on medium heat
2. Then put little bit of oil and add your chicken breasts and fry them until you see they are getting cooked
3.then you can add a teaspoon of garlic, black pepper and thyme and your mushrooms. Then just keep stirring and frying them for a while until you see that it's cooking
4. If you feel that the food is starting to burn or stick on the pot then you can add a little of water
5. Once you feel that your chicken breasts have cooked by you tasting then you can add your cream and lower your heat. So you add your cream and mix it all together and let it simmer for a while and after that you can add the pasta you cooked in the pan and mix them together .

Then your chicken pasta Alfredo is ready πŸ˜¬πŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ’—

Please if you did follow this recipe you can give me feedback or comment below and tell me how it went or if you cook your pasta differently or add something different please do comment below πŸ’—

Did somebody say fruit salad?

Good afternoon everyone 😬

Today is the day for my Wednesday favorites 😬
If you are new to my blog please go to my Wednesday favorites menu and check my first post and read what its all about for you to understand why I call it Wednesday favorites.

I have not posted Wednesday favorites in a while. So my favorite today is the lunch I had which was a fruit salad that I made with yogurt. Mhmmm it might seem to wack but it is really nice and fruit salads are really nice to eat in summer because they are colorful ,tropical and very summery.  You can make your fruit salad at home actually you don't have to buy it from the shops if you have your favorite fruits at home you can cut them and mix them ,make them look colorful if you like or not.

So my fruit salad was very simple,I just had strawberries and oranges mixed together:) simple but soooo delicious!😍

Tell me what your favorite fruit salad is ?

It's Friday !!😬

Good evening everyone 😊

This morning I had some really wonderful breakfast😊 As I like to explore , I like to try out different places to eat because eating at one specific place all the time can get boring. So this morning I had some breakfast with my cousin at Roca Mamas. I didn't know that Roca Mama's actually sold breakfast, I just know them for burgers and wings so it was refreshing to see what they had as a menu. I ordered scrambled eggs , bbq beans , toast , chips and bacon then I had my meal with some hot chocolate. One would swear that the hot chocolate is actually a latte with the way they designed it. So yes I enjoyed my breakfast and if you haven't been to Roca Mama's for breakfast I would suggest you try it out and if you have had breakfast there comment below and tell me your experience 😊

Till then stay blessed πŸ’—

Roasted Turkey/chicken Sunday lunch

Good evening every one 😬

So today I cooked one of my favorite dishes 😬which is roasted turkey, rice and tomato sauce .

So let's gets started with the ingredients 😬

First we will start with the toasted Turkey
1.  1.176 Kg for R45.39 at Flesherie full turkey / full chicken
2.chooped /diced onions
3. Diced potatoes
4. Diced tomatoes
5. Grated carrots
6. Robinson chicken spice and black pepper

So firstly you are going to wash your chicken so that's it's clean ,inside and out then you are going to cut your tomatoes, carrots, onions and potatoes and then stuff your cut Ingredients inside the chicken/turkey then your going to add the chicken spice inside so you will mix the inside so that everything is mixed together. Next you will sprinkle the chicken spice and the back pepper all over the chicken so that the chicken does not become dry and it's very tasty when it comes out 😬. Next preheat your oven at 270 degrees then after your done preparing your chicken you put your chicken in a pan then leave it in the oven for about an hour all depending on the stove you use.

Secondly we will start with our rice
1.i was cooking for 3 people so I used half a cup of rice ,if your cooking for 3-5 people you can use a full cup of rice
2.boiled water

So first you need to boil water in the kettle then put the pot on the stove at medium heat then our the boiled water then wait for the water to also start boiling on the stove then you add in your rice then you will just keep stirring here and there. You will let your rice cook for about 25-30 minutes then your rice is ready

Lastly is out tomato sauce (my favorite )
You will need the following
1. Two grated tomatoes
2.a tablespoon of garlic
3. A spoon of dried tomato pesto
4. Tomato sauce
5. Thyme
6. Chili sauce

So what we first do is we put a non stick fry pan on the stove then you pour your grated tomatoes in the pan then stir here and there then next you add the garlic, tomato sauce, a spoon of chilli sauce then stir them continuously. If you can see that the suave is getting  dry you can add a little bit of water here and there and just keep stirring. Then lastly you will add your thyme then reduce your heat and just keep stirring . You will start to see when your sauce is getting ready . Then let it simmer for a few little minites then ta daaaaa!!!

Lastly just take your turkey/chicken out if the stove if it's ready
Your dinner is served πŸ˜¬πŸ’ƒπŸΎ

I enjoyed my meal ,I hope you guys do too. Plz do comment below and let me know what you think about it and if you added any extra ingredients and how did your meal taste ?😬

How to cook dumpling and stew!!

Hey!!!

Today I've been posting a lot,I'm trying to catch up on the days I have not been posting so hope you guys are enjoying my posts as much as I am !!😬😬
Today I made dumpling and stew so my receipe is actually focused on how to make the stew and not really emphasized on the dumplings!! This is one of my FAVORITE Dishes !! I love it !!

Ingredients:

Beef Stew

  • 3x Potatoes
  • 2x carrots
  • Chopped onions
  • Beef stew
  • Beef stew Knox cubes
  • Chutney
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Meister Club prego marinade sauce
  • Olive oil
Dumpling
Buy ready made dough from spar or pick' n pay

         Methods for the beef stew
  • If you have a slow cooker put the stew in for about 40 minutes if not then I will tell you later what to do
  •  Meanwhile while the meat is cooking you must dice your potatoes, onions and cut your carrots which ever way you want to cut them.
  •  Then once the meat is finished in the slow cooker take it out and put it on a bowl and wait for it to cool down a little beat them after pour all the sauces mentioned in your ingredients your chutney ,marinade and worceshire sauces and mix your meat  then when finished leave it there for a few minutes to absorb the marinade
  •  Then get a pot put it on the stove and put a little bit of olive oil then wait for it to get hot then throw your diced onions and fry them then add your carrots and fry them then add your meat and fry your meat until brown then add cold water that covers the meat a little bit and add your Knox beef stock cube and let it simmer for about 40-50 minutes and stir in the meantime
  •  After that you can add your potates and once your water gets finished you can keep adding more water now remember  I said if you don't have a slow cooker I will tell you what to do? Yes this is the part now. If you don't have your slow cooker your meat is going to take a while to cook because its depending to get soft and cooked in the stove so approximately it will take you 1hr:30 minutes to cook the beef stew without a slow cooker so the slow cooker just cooks the meat a little bit for you and makes it soft so that when you cook on the stove you don't take long
  • then your beef stew is ready!!! 😬
Methods for the dumpling

  • Like I said it's easier to get a ready made dough then making it, it makes your cooking time less
  • So you take the tough you bought and you get a pot that will fit it and you put the dough in a plastic bag
  • Then you add water to the pot and you out the plastic bag with the dough in the bag and let the dough boil for about 30-40 minutes then it will be ready
Hope you guys enjoy my meal as much as I do!! Comment below and tell me how it went and if you like it 😊

How to cook Alfredo Pasta

                                                              ALFREDO PASTA

This is one of my favorite recipes that I learned to create, I love how it's so simple and yet so delicious to make. Hope you all enjoy it. You can comment about the recipe if you like or let me know some few tricks of your own if you have :)

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 a pack Pasta
Cream
bacon( if it was in the freezer, take it out in the morning and make sure the ice melts completely)
1 tablespoon of Thyme
mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
olive oil
salt

PREPARATION:

cooking the pasta:

1)you need to get a pot and put it on medium heat and then pour water in the kettle and let it boil.
2) After the water is done boiling in the kettle you must pour the water in the pot ( the water should fill about 1/2 of the pot or a little bit more depending on how many people will be eating)
3) Wait for the water in the pot to boil then you can pour the pasta in the pot and wait for it to boil and then when it boils you pour a tablespoon of olive oil in the pasta and an inch of salt
4) While the pasta is cooking you can just keep stirring but don't leave the pasta or otherwise it will burn
5) Once the water is finished in the pot check how the pasta is looking if it's still a little bit hard then pour water again and let it boil in the pot (but be careful don't pour too much water because otherwise your pasta will come out soggy and we don't want that )
6) Once the above is done you can take your pasta out

Cooking the bacon

1) Get the bacon and as I have mentioned make sure it is not iced at all. Now depending on how many people you are serving for it will determine how much bacon you should use. Start cutting the bacon in small pieces or cube pieces
2) Get a non stick frying pan and heat the stove and then pour about a table spoon of olive oil then wait for the oil to get hot
3) Once the oil is hot pour the cut bacon into the pot and start frying it until it becomes a bit brown.( be careful not to over fry it and then it burns or becomes crispy)
4) Once the bacon is brown you can start pouring the cream in the pot and start stirring and lower the heat so it simmers
5) While the bacon is cooking you can start cutting your mushrooms in small pieces as well or however you like it then you add it in the bacon mixture
6) You can add a teaspoon of 1/2 of black pepper and a tablespoon of thyme and start stirring everything
7) Let it all simmer for about 5 minutes then you can pour your bacon mixture into your pasta and mix it nicely so that the pasta has all the sauce.
8) And lastly enjoy your homemade alfredo pasta..If you would like you can add some grated cheese on top

Black pepper
Coriander
Thyme
1 Half chopped onion
2 carrots
2 small baby potatoes
1 chopped tomato
Mince Beef
Beef stock
Knorr mince sauce
1/2 of rice
Olive oil

Preparing the food:

Cooking the rice
First step is to boil water ( pour as much water you can in the kettle)
Then place a pot on the stove and then once the water is done boiling you can pour the water in the pot
Wait for the water to boil in the pot
Then you can add the half a cup of rice and a pinch of salt and stir it
Once the water is done in the pot,add more water to the rice and then pour the water out to drain the starch in the rice then pour cold water in the pot (it nust jusy cover the rice) and take the pot to the stove
Then wait for the water to finish in the pot then your rice is ready

Cooking the mince

Chop the onion in small dices and place them aside
Peel the carrots and grate them and place them aside
Boil the baby potatoes( I just put them in boiling water in a bowl and cooked them in the microwave)
Cut the tomato in dices
Get the mince and put it in a big bowl and put a pinch of salt and add a teaspoon, a half of black pepper, add a teaspoon coriander and thyme (you can add more if you like )
Add the carrots and the onion then mix all the ingredients with the mince
Once all mixed arrange the mince to look like balls. They can be small, medium or large depending on how you want the meatballs to look like
Once done making the meatballs
Get a frying pan and pour about a table spoon of olive oil, once the pan is hot add the meatballs and keep turning them around until they have become brown or look like they are getting cooked
After that put the meatballs aside in a plate
Then get a pot and pour 1 teaspoon and a half of olive oil
Wait for the oil to get hot and then add the potatoes and the tomato
Fry them until the potatoes are a bit golden brown then after that add 400ml of cold water to the pot and add the mince sauce and stir and wait for it to boil
While boiling ,keep stirring
Then add a half of 1 beef stock and keep stirring
Then add the meatballs and turn down the heat and let it boil for about 30/40 minutes
When the water finishes in the pot add more (just enough to cover the meatballs in the pot).
Do that until the sauce becomes thick
Let your meatballs simmer and just keep turning them once in a while
After the sauce is a bit thick then you can take the pot out
And your food is ready:)
